The client was buying security equipment and electronics from several suppliers in China — part of the orders they had placed and paid themselves, part was still to be found and purchased. Then the shipment stalled: two of the suppliers required a formal export declaration for their goods and kept emailing the client about it, and the client did not quite understand what was being asked of them.
My part was the China side, end to end: source and buy the remaining items, take over the existing orders, settle the export questions with the suppliers, and ship everything together by air.
Service scope
Source and purchase part of the items end to end
Take over the client's existing orders and manage the suppliers
Settle the export declaration questions with the suppliers
Collect and consolidate all the goods
Book air freight and handle export handover
Provide the AWB copy after dispatch
Outcome
Part of the items I sourced and purchased end to end. The orders the client had already placed I took over and carried through, and the export side got settled: two suppliers required a formal export declaration for their goods, and both declarations were arranged. All the goods were consolidated and shipped by air as one batch: eleven packages, 112 kg, one air waybill. After dispatch I provided the client with a copy of the AWB.
FAQ
Each supplier who receives an official payment needs the export declared under their own name. One air shipment can carry several declarations — they were arranged per supplier and the goods flew as one batch.
Two service formats on one deal. The items still to be found I handled end to end — sourcing, ordering, payment. The orders the client had already placed and paid I took over as custom scope: supplier follow-ups, collection and export.
